Our Story

Family-owned and operated, The Market at Boyer’s Junction offers a warm, welcoming atmosphere that captures the heart of small-town living. Resurrected in 2011 by new owners with a passion for preserving local tradition, our market reestablished what country stores were always meant to be — a place where neighbors gather, conversations flow, and quality goods meet genuine hospitality.

Our History

Originally established in the 1920s, The Market at Boyer’s Junction has long been a landmark within Rockland Township. In 2011, it was purchased and revitalized with a new vision — to bring back the character and community connection that old-fashioned country stores once represented. With new life and a renewed sense of purpose, the market has become a destination for locals and travelers alike, blending the nostalgia of the past with the quality and convenience of today.

Meet The Owner

After graduating from Temple University with a degree in Architecture and spending over 25 years in the field, owner Mark Johnson sought a meaningful change – one that would take him out of the office and into the heart of his community.

The Market at Boyer’s Junction offered that opportunity: a chance to save a beloved local landmark from the growing presence of corporate box stores while putting his design and construction expertise to use in restoring the building’s charm.

Today, Mark and his family continue to shape the market into more than just a store – it’s an experience. Every detail, from the building’s layout to the friendly service, reflects his dedication to preserving a way of life that’s been slowly disappearing over the decades.
